I just had my last Primal Scream. Some of Smith College is still screaming. I didn't realise I had so much tension in me until I started my first scream. Then I just screamed and screamed!!

I have also had my last ASP ritual (may 1), my last day of classes (on may 3rd), my last SSFFS meeting/Peep sacrifice (may 3rd), and am finishing my last reading period.

I still have yet to have my last exam, turn in my last paper, and pack up my dorm room for the last time.

It's all sort of scary and exciting and surreal at the same time.

well...back to studing for my last latin test.

So, [livejournal.com profile] sylvanstargazer and I went to Davis for dessert and then to the SSFFS library. There I found a copy of The Eye of Argon. We proceded to read through the entire thing, amazingly enough, and laugh ourself silly in the process!! I don't think i've ever read anything written that badly before. We had soooo much fun reading it! I swear I almost pissed my pants a number of times.

so far today i have

  • Woken up - hey, this is a feat when you have a beautiful woman next to you and all you want to do is cuddle with her.
  • Gone to class
  • Had something for luch
  • gone to my ssffs library hours
  • read for class at the library BEFORE starting on a new X-Men thing.
  • Went to the Chapel and filled out a request for money for the ASP retreat
  • Called Health Servaces to set up an OB/GYN exam and STD testing (not that i think i have anything, but it's good to be tested)
  • Called Josten to see if they will be open over spring break - they will be on weekdays during the day. yayness!

To do today:

  • Figure out the EXACT dates for Europe trip and tell daddy
  • Translate Latin
  • scan lines for latin and write paragraph on them
  • start working on Latin paper
  • eat dinner
  • catch up on horseback riding journal

the SSFFS library is EVIL i tell you EEEVVIIILLL!!!!

I went there for my library hours like a good little officer and ended up staying an hour later than i had to because I picked up the "Uncanny X-Men: Dark Phoenix Saga" and end up reading all 190 pages of it.

in other news, found a poem of Sapho at the library that I like:
The moon has set and the Pleiades;
it is midnight, and time goes by,
and I lie alone.
-Translation from the Loeb

Went to the Mulch open mic night. Was sitting there thinking how what i brought to read wasn't very political or anything (a lot of people were reading polictical stuff) because it was just the translation of Polyxena's speach from Hecuba that i did for class last semester. But about half way through the monologue, i realized that it had a very strong message about slavery and stuff. hmm...interesting how some things cross culture and time. :) makes me happy to be a classical studies major!

then RHPS! we actually had a good crowd :) Had Brenna on virgin patrol (stopping all at the door and marking them). The virgins had NO CLUE what they had to do. It was a lot of fun. :) And the night went well. We had a cast. Next time must bring flashlights for cast. And clean up was fast, since no rice or confetti was thrown. And a big thanks to 3G and Aerith for getting the sound and lights and everything to work right. It couldn't have worked without them. So...hopefully we will do this again :) :).

And last night we went to see Love's Labours Lost at UMass. Very very very good production. The Green One did the costume disign and did such an amazing job! And most of the acting was good, even though sometimes I felt like i was loosing some of the words. I loved the times when only Nayone and I were laughing. It was like "are we the only two who got that?" but in a really cool way. I feel like I must go over the text again to catch what I missed.

Then I spent my first Sat night in many moons at Smith to give my others a chance to be alone with each other. It was strange but good. I got some Aeneid reading done and was productive this morning. must go and get more done.

Weekend was good. Not as productive as it needed to be.

The ASP ritual went really well. There were people there. Hurray!

Game on saturday went well also. Am 35 xp away from leveling. Aerith can be so evil sometimes. grrrrrrrrrrrr.

Read the play version of Uncle Tom's Cabin. Cried when Eva died. Aerith was really sweet and just held me and gave me tissues and let me cry. It wasn't even that sad in the play, but it was the exact same wording as in the book and that set me off. (i'm actually a little embarassed that i cried).

Decided that calling the Mad Russian at 12:30 am was a good idea. Talked with her until 2:30 am. oops. I miss her. I am glad I got to talk to her :) We had so much fun talking. Found out that some people that I knew in HS were either married/getting married/have kids. weird shit! Was talking about old crushes. *L* I miss her.

In other news, SSFFS will be showing Tank Girl on Friday in Seelye 201 (most likely) @ 7:30pm. YAY!!!
and, [livejournal.com profile] cassieclaire has added another "Secret Diary of LotRs character." If you haven't read them, but love LotRs, go to her lj and start on Dec. 31st. Some of the funniest stuff you've ever read!!!!!

Now to figure out what work i should get done.
athene: (goth)
took my Greek exam this morning. three hour exams should be illegal. but i think i did well on it. hey, it's OVER and that's the important part. now onto the 10 page paper due thurs. and then i'm out of here.

on sat [livejournal.com profile] ambermoon now to be called Nayone came over to Aerith's and we watched George of the Jungle which was just the silly mindless funny that i needed and Clerks and then Mallrats in the morning. All three of us were cuddling a lot. it was nice.
Aerith's mom was around earlier in the morning and she took Aerith and I out to breakfast/lunch and then to get chocolate. hurray for chocolate!!

on friday SSFFS did (not) watch all three Star Wars movies (not) in Seelye. It was a lot of fun. Aerith showed up part of the way through ANH. Nayone sat on his lap for all of ESB. :) We all had so much fun yelling out things. I think a new tradition of reading the openings, including every punctuation has been started. Some of the better lines included [livejournal.com profile] littejane's "Do not try to gender R2-D2. R2-D2 surpasses gender." My "Only Luke can start forest fires" during the speeder races of ROTJ. and Aerith's "I guess that's what they call a shag" after our making sugestive comments about the "I'd rather kiss a Wookie" coments. but the best thing of all had to be the decision that R2-D2 is a foul-mouthed little fucker and hir favorite word is "cocksucker" which ze will call just about anyone whenever ze can. Damn I *LOVE* my ssffsians!!

friday - the SSFFS meeting was fun. We got to talk about cons. Dinner was shit so a bunch of us went to davis. when ks was about to get food, Amythyst and I said "nope, sorry, no food for you, you're not allowed to order anything." To which BM told ks "don't worry, you can have as many tic-tacks as you want." hehehe
Saw The Children's Hour which was directed by Austin Pedleton. It was pretty good. I felt the first act was a little flat which made it hard to really get into the other two acts (which were actually very good).

Saturday - got up late *G*. Read some Winter's Tale. Fell asleep while Aerith made dinner. :) Went to UMass to see The Diary of a Madman. It was EXCELENT! Absolutly amazing!!!! When we left the theatre it was snowing! I couldn't stop laughing.
When we got home we watched the snow and watched The Usual Suspect which Aerith had never seen before. He liked it, but I knew he would. It's so different watching it a second time.

Sunday - did homework. got my observation report done. it's crap, but it's done. finished Winter's Tale. Weird play. Waited for Flip, but due to misscomunication we never met. I hope it goes well today. Started reading about Peter Brook. He hung out with Crowley! Weird shit (I bet i'm one of a few people at Smith who would read his Memoirs and know who Crowley was). Had to share with someone. Called Rock, but she wasn't home. Called Brenna. She was home. We talked for a while :) Typed up some of the lines the greek test is going to be on.

Overall - semi-productive weekend. My toe hurts less and less every day. I am walking with almost no limp now. Love Aerith. Spectre is cute when he's not a brat. want school to be over. too much to do.

left to do:
edit Observation report.
Study for Child and Adolecent Growth and Development Exam.
read about Peter Brook and write 5 page paper on him.
work with Flip on Brook and our scene.
Study for Greek Exam.
write 10 page paper for Comedy and Romance on yet-to-be-determined subject.

Had the Horseback riding final today. Pulled Zippy. Never worked with him b4. he was such a sweety. I really liked him. And I got his bridal on without any problems. I even stuck my finger in his mouth without fear. YAY me!

SSFFS yearbook photo was tonight. It was so much fun. It always is! We conquered the tv this year. "The Geeks go marching one by one hurrah hurrah!" Damn I love my SSFFS friends!! Amythyst rocks my world! I really hope she can finish the semster. I know that the guidence is there for her and all she needs to do is find it.

Trying (not) to write a paper. I think i'll go to sleep now instead.

well, my weekend was full of ups and downs.

First, friday night, Kilean came to a SSFFS meeting and sold so many tickets to HP that we hit the over 100 mark. He actually ran out of tickets and had to go have more made at Kinkos. :)

Then had dinner with Prof and Comedy and Romance class. Was a very good dinner. Ran REALLY REALLY REALLY long! Got a *little* drunk.

However, b/c it ran to 10, Aerith was waiting for me for over 40 min. Poor sweet thing. He got out The Man who would be King from the video store. We watched some of it.

The next day was ok. Got some work done. Aerith had to work. There were about a MILLION people trying to do laundrey at the same time as us. I did find out that Cinemark screwed over D'arcangel productions and the HP showing is going to be on saturday. I felt so bad for everyone who I promised that it would be on friday. :(

Sunday I got some more work done. Then went to ASP meeting. Was me and Petra. Went over to Emi and Syl's and were the "getting shit done" commity.

Then has a SSFFS officers meeting. That went well, EXECPT the end. Amythyst got a headache and then she was dizzy and so i called health services and they sent a policeperson to bring her to Coolie Dic.

But, then came the Collapse into Reason, Bella Morte, Cruxshadows show. OMG, IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!! Collapse into Reason sounded GREAT. Then I was in the front dancing for Bella Morte. They played a lot of good songs, but i really didn't know a lot of them. There were some obnoxious guys in the audience who seemed to have been following the band. They were scaring me. After Bella Morte played I went upto the lead singer and congradulated him. He thanked me and then thanked me for being in the front. *G* hehehehe. Then Cruxshadows came on. Holy SHIT! Why have i NEVER seen them before??? They put on the BEST show. I was standing right infront of Stacey, the really beautiful guitarist. Rouge is SO amazing to watch. He walks around the audience and climbs on things and does all kinds of crazy shit! He even got a chair from somewhere in the middle of the Grotto and was standing on it while singing in the middle of the dance floor. After the show I got the band members to sign a poster for me. Stacey said that it was nice to see people smiling the front row *Big Grin*

Today Greek was ok, but on the walk back to the bus stop, DV was really distant. *shrug* must e-mail him soon.

I was late to Acting b/c the printer in WAG was not working so i had to print everything out in B&W and then i waited around to see if they could fix the color printer.

Went to the fleece sale. Bought a headband that covers my ears and some warm socks. Amythyst showed up with her mommy. She had been at some hospital in Springfield and they didn't know what was wrong with her, so she is going on medical leave until after thanksgiving.

Horseback riding was good but cold.

Aerith is here :) game tonight, must go.

Yesterday was sooo busy!!!

I cleaned my room a little bit. I know, it's amazing!

I also went to a meeting so I now have a van licence for Smith 7 person vans. Hurray. not that i've EVER driven a van in my life!

I was in the SSFFS library for my hours. It was much coldness b/c I couldn't get the heater to turn on. burrr. But i got to read some Sandman b/c it was too cold to do homework.

Saw Buffy:The Musical. OMG Spike is HOT! It was a very good episode, but i won't spoil it for anyone. I'm glad that 3G tapes Buffy so I can see it again and again and again.

Went to Sin:Thesis. Had a good time. The music was ok, but the people were good. I am going to help Kilean promote a show around Smith. Here goes: Sun, Nov 11, Cruxshadows, Bella Morte and Collapse into Reason are going to be playing at the Grotto in NoHo!!!!!!!! Doors open at 7:30pm. Cost is $12.

Also, for anyone who is at Smith, Kilean is going to be at a SSFFS meeting this friday selling tickets for Harry Potter for $5 each. And SSFFS is going to be playing Willow that night at 7:30 in Seelye 201 (most likely).

Need to shower now. Must wake up.

SSFFS went out and chalked for our first meeting tonight. We met up at Seelye and split up into groups. BM, Amythyst and I were in a group.

We had SOOO MUCH FUN!!! we chalked all over the quad and near Wright Hall and in front of Neilson. it was just the best. we started chalking "got sci-fi?" and silly things like "Darth Vader says: Join the Sci-fi and fantasy society and you will grow strong in the way of the force" and "Tron - Oh the memories". I think the campus will know that there is a sci-fi meeting on friday :)

we each wrote a message by The Lady that was not sci-fi related.

it was good to be with friends doing "normal" things. espically other seniors. We are such a silly bunch. I hope the world is prepared for us!!!

p.s. ouch my hands and knees hurt from chalking.
