There's so much that i want to post about, both here and on my Little Prince blog. I feel like I'm always composing posts in my head. But so many of them never get written. Some of it is time. Between working full-time, raising a toddler, spending time with hubby, working on other projects, reading, etc, I just don't have lots of time to write.

But there's also something more. When it comes to the internet I tend to be a consumer first and a creator second. What I mean is that when I sit at my computer for downtime, the first thing I do is read other people's things. It was easy when it was just LiveJournal friends list (although back then a lot more people were posting). Now there's the friends list, facebook, tumblr, email, my rss feed reader, etc. I pretty much ignore twitter (sometimes), pintrest, instagram, and Google+ because you have to draw the line somewhere. But by the time I'm done reading it all, there isn't much time left for me to post stuff. Or I want to do something for the post first, like edit pictures or video, which takes time. I guess that's why I like FB, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr. Because you can post quick free form things that aren't as fully "bloggy" and keep consuming. I mean I could do that here too, but it's harder.

I have to remember to sit down and create first or I just get lost in the world of consuming.

Well, time to feed the cats, scoop litter boxes, play with Little Prince in his bath, and get him to sleep. Maybe I'll do some more creating tonight before I consume...

Sometimes my baby blog (the one that I've pretty much neglected this one for...sorry LJ, I still love you and read you every day!) gets spam comments posted to it. This one came in today. I have to say it's the best one yet:
Thank you an incredible publish, may examine your personal others content. thank you your notions within this, I soon became somewhat made an impact to by this article. Thanks again again! You earn a good aspect. Portrays natures best by the wonderful facts here. I believe that if a greater number of people thought about it like that, they’d have a very better time get the grasp ofing the matter.
It's like someone took all of the most popular words used in comments and mushed them all together. I'm still trying to figure out how to "grasp ofing the matter."

It's Download Day.

That's right, kiddies, today is the day that we can help Mozilla break a world record by downloading Firefox 3: http://tinyurl.com/5vcx53

Edit:Things I like so far - ability to add tags to bookmarks (not sure what I'm going to do with it but I like tags), site info by clicking on favicon, when copying and pasting into word the formatting isn't carried over.

Things I don't like - most of my plug-ins don't work. I'm seriously missing Tabs Mix Plus! Ha, found a Tabs Mix Plus beta from their website. it works and saved all of my settings. yay!

Things I'm undecided about - the autofill for the location bar. It pulls in sites I've visited in a different way. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get used to it or if it will seriously annoy me.

Apparently it's "Blog Like It's the End of the World" day. I participated last year, but this year I'm just not up to it. Could be all the traveling I've been doing lately. Yup, I'm back in Austin until Monday, then I'm at a conference. I come back on Friday. I don't think I like the jet setting lifestyle that much actually. Especially when it takes me away from husband and kittens.

Instead of blogging about zombies, I will give you links/quiz results.

1. A live web stream of Lioness and her cubs from a zoo in Norway (I think). Probably the cutest thing evar.

2. The IQ Adventure Test. A really fun and fascinating series of tests. Takes a little while to complete, but totally worth it. My results.

3. My personality type: the social realist. Take the free iPersonic personality test! My personality type: the Social Realist.

4. I am a bad housewife:

1

As a 1930s wife, I am
Very Poor (Failure)

Take the test!

On the other hand...

65

As a 1930s husband, I am
Superior

Take the test!

WANT!

so, i installed the new mac version of icq. much goodness and happyness.

then i installed the new aim and for some bazzar reason threw out the old folder. the new version had SOOOO many issues!! it was just fucking up and freazing and doing all sorts of weird things. luckly Aerith was nice enough to have me put up each of the buddy icons i had just downloaded and then send them to me over icq so i could save them. he's the BEST boyfriend!!! then i totally got rid of aim and re-installed the older better working version. hurray. now i can chat with Nayone and Aerith. hurray :)

my e-mail checker is also being weird. it tells me i have new messages, but won't tell me the folder. oh well.

just realized that i never finished that e-mail to the crazy russian (my best friend since 8th grade). oops. should do that now.
