  • 09:25 Just emailed my school's career services because they spelled "grok" wrong in a job posting.
  • 11:41 Wrote funniest cover letter ever, complete with Monty Python reference, to submit to job posting with the word "grok" in it.
  • 21:14 Got a job interview for tomorrow. Guess they liked the Python reference.

Grok. It comes from Stranger in a Strange Land.

I grok it.

No, I knew that, I was just wondering how they misspelled it. :)

I think grok and Monty python in the same set of twitters officially qualifies you as 'trying too hard' to establish geek cred. Just let it happen naturally.. there's no need to force it.

I didn't use "grok" in my cover letter. Just the Python reference.

Did I claim you did? I just said you used both within a 24 hour set of twitterings.

To be fair, the job posting itself had both grok and a monty python reference. :P

Oops.
