Last night, [livejournal.com profile] lordaerith and I went to see Lawrence Lessig give a talk on campus. He talked about the "Read-Only" vs. "Read-Write" culture of the internet and, of course, copyright and the Creative Commons license. It was a very interesting and inspiring talk. He is a very intelligent and animated lecturer, with just the right amount of humor and seriousness blended together. I'm very glad that I went. I had to read part of Code for class, and while I didn't agree with everything he said in the book, it was still a very interesting read. I have a feeling that it felt off because it was outdated. It makes me curious to read Code 2.0 and Free Culture when I have time.

When we sat down in the hall I had no idea we were sitting in the same row as you. It was as if there was some sort of i-school pull.

I really did enjoy the presentation as well as learn a lot of things. Makes me wish I could give presentations like that for class.
