Milestone and Beltane
May. 1st, 2010 08:38 amI would like to announce that this is my 2,100th entry!
I would like to thank my readers, my friend, RL and online drama, internet memes and videos, and especially twitter. Without y'all, I would have never made it this far.
Also, today is Beltane, aka the First of May. In honor of such an occasion, here are a whole bunch of videos of "First of May" by Jonathan Coulton (link will bring you to lyrics and a downloadable mp3). Lyrics are NSFW. Some videos are slightly more SFW than others.
We start off with my friend CaptainValor's lovely ASL version (safe for work if you turn off the captions and don't have any coworkers who can read ASL):
For those of you who enjoy WoW, here is Spiff's WoW version (NSFW - depicts WoW toons in "adult" acts). This one can be also be downloaded:
Here is a live version of the song from when one of the times that JoCo came to Austin. It was recorded by me and
lordaerith and you can hear sometimes (video is worksafe with headphones unless you have a lip reader hanging around).
There are lots of other versions of the song out there if you want to find them.
Finally, here is Jonathan Coulton's request for everyone today (please do not get arrested) and a link to a live version mp3.
