Well, the internet isn't a dump truck: it's a series of tubes. From time to time, it's bound to backup. The trick is in knowing how to cut off the flow, and remove the blockage. It also helps to periodically flush... the DNS.
I've seen this April Fool's posted several times now, but didn't even believe it the first time I saw it. This is just not Google's style.
Now, I've thought it interesting how many April Fool's jokes have had something to do with Harry Potter (i.e. Facebook posted that "Harry and Voldemort have set their relationship status to 'Mortal Enemies.'" in the news feed).
