The goddamned smoke detector in the living room is making a single beep ever 30 seconds to one minute. There's no fire and none of the other detectors are going off. I already climbed on the back of the couch and pulled the battery (which wasn't easy to do b/c the plate where wires from the wall connect into the smoke detector covers part of the battery cover). Grrrr. And I can't figure out how to disconnect the wires. I already called the apartment complex office and left a message.

This beeping is really starting to get on my nerves!!!!

Edit: Went to store. Got battery. Fixed it. Aerith showed me how to pull the wires out...feel a little silly that I couldn't figure it out myself.

1) Can't get thing off of wall

2) no way to get to store to get new battery until husband comes home with car.
