When Boris was weighed in August, he was 20lbs, 6oz. Today he is 18lbs, 4oz! Hurray!

I expect it's just that he was too tubby to fit on the scale, so some of him was resting on the floor ;P

Time Dilation. If she'd left him on there longer, it would have continued to go up. Time runs very slow in Boris's immediate vicinity, so after a couple of minutes of weighing him, only a fraction of a second had gone by, Boris Local Time. The light reaching her eyes from the scale was several minutes old by the time it got there.

He's fricken HUGE, basically.
