Faire time

So, as many of you know, Oct 16 is lordaerith's birthday. In honor of this, we'll be going to the Middlefaire on Oct 14. Our plan is to get there for opening (11am) and stay until we can't take it anymore or the faire ends (9pm).

If you wanna come, let us know and maybe we can all carpool or something.

Why did choose Middlefaire? Texas Renaissance Festival" is larger, has more to do, and is about the same distance away. It's more expensive, but IMHO, it's worth it.

Because the TRF runs for 8 weekends and so we can go anytime, but this one only runs on the one weekend. And the Bedlam Bards are going to be there. They're browncoats and that makes us happy because we love Firefly.

We're probably going to got to TRF in Nov.

More expensive, stuffier, canned, and has an owner who has completely alienated a good portion of the faire performers I know. Personally, I'd rather go to a new faire that's fresh, isn't going to make me feel like a patron at Disneyland, and won't cost an arm and a leg to get in. Plus, Middlefaire has great entertainment, like The Bedlam Bards and The Brobdingnagian Bards. Finally, as the owner of a small business, I would rather support a small startup faire than a large corporate one.
