So, every day at 4pm Lazer 99.3 does this contest called "Missing Link" where they play 3 songs with a common link. Last week I e-mailed the DJ with an idea for it and THEY USED MY IDEA TODAY!!! The DJ thanked me on air (dear DJ, it's pronounced Atheenee - both E's are long) and mentioned that it was the first listener idea that they've used.

My idea was "Songs that Weird Al has parodied." They played: "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - Nirvana, "Give it away now" - Red Hot Chili Peppers, and "Lump" - Presidents of the USA. The link was called in by the second song.

I bet I made a whole bunch of area nerds really happy.

I couldn't stop smiling my whole ride home.
