Where to start?

I remember playing commercials with Zoe and Laura, in Ithaca. I remember you spreading out the Berenstein Bears books all over the landing, blocking my path (also in Ithaca).

I remember you saying that you felt like a tiny dot of ink on a big page when we moved to New Orleans.

I remember you turning my dishes upsidedown and drinking my water at the dinner table.

I remember watching you walk away as you got onto the plane to go to England. I remember seeing you at the gate when you came back, nose ring and all.

I remember your face when you got engaged.

Ok, now I'm about to cry and I miss you and love you.

For some reason every memory is of you laughing, in lots of different places. Oh, and a small orange snake was twining around your fingers.

OH. And you were walking naked under the moonlight on the path in front of me, and it was so picturesque and beautiful, you looked like a painting. I wished I'd had a camera but then again that would've probably been rude.

Oh, and we were all in the hot tub (pagan soup) and really loudly you were like, "Wow, Hallsi's naked!"

it was my first official ssffs meeting as president, and i had to do the classic duty of reading the org charter at everyone. as i started droning away, you came up beside me and just stood there for a moment with an evil grin until i noticed you. you then preceded to do everything in your power to distract me from reading the charter, including but not limited to making faces, waving your hands in front of my eyes, and chasing me under desks...

wow. Um... too many to count? and there's this half remembered incident with you brandishing a carrot at me at Pagan retreat, but I can't put it into context.

I remember holding you in my arms on the night of September 28, 1979 and just talking to you and never wanting to let you go. I remember going to Hills Department store when you were four and you running to the back to grab some books to look at, completely bypassing the toy section. I remember our time in Paris and the way we would work out what to do each day. I remember eating croissants in the room with all the David's at the Louvre and the guards telling us not too. I remember the time you were so sick and we didn't know what you had. I remember you all bundled up playing in the snow in Ithaca. I remember you were Dorothy for years and you wore Dorothy dresses and green glasses fabricated from green construction paper as we walked up College Avenue. I remember you wearing Ithaca clothing to school in New Orleans and people not understanding. You were especially fond of the skirt grandma Selma made you. Gosh this is only the beginning of a long list, but it is what comes to mind quickly.

I remember turning up the volume on the Nintendo, you and Jon (because he wasn't Athan back then) getting equally as loud, me turning up the volume again, you getting louder again, and so on, until you two came out of the room, asking why the TV was so loud. :)
