So, I went to the store the other day to buy more tampons b/c I was running low. I usually get the O.B. w/applicator. O.B. b/c it's the most comfortable kind I've found and the applicator because I've never tried it without. But they were out of the applicator kind. So I figured what the hell, how hard can it be to stuff some cotton up there?, and bought the kind with out. Just a 20 pack.

When it was time to change my tampon yesterday afternoon, my period had practically stopped (it started again later...grr) and I was so dry that I couldn't even get the TIP in w/out it hurting. So I just put on a pad and went on my merry way.

But, i just changed my tampon (didn't you want to know that... I said TMI at the beginning. you were warned) and I changed into the non-applicator kind. It wasn't that hard to put in (now that there's some blood covered uterine-lining there) and i think it's smaller than the applicator kind. Well, I'm going to see how it goes. It wasn't actually that bad.

And for those of you who get horny on your period b/c there is SOMETHING in there and it drives you crazy, there is this. The only problem is that the battery doesn't last for very long *G*

Okay so here's my TMI on your TMI. According to me OB non-applicator tamptons are the best thing to happen to femine protection ever. I could never use tampons before. I could never get in the right place and hence they were so uncomfortable. However, I hated the diaper feel of pads. With OB non-applicator you can put them right where you need them and it's like it's not even there.

Though your right there's those times when your not menstrating hardly all but still need protection and your period seems to start up again later. Now they make a new kind of OB Non-applicator. It's like OB silk or something. It's got this silky coating on the outside so it goes in easier but even if that doesn't work so well and I've found it doesn't always work then useing a small amount of lubricant on the tampon and your ya know really works.

Okay end TMI.

*checks the box* yup, I got the silky ones. If you put lub on a tampon won't it get absorbed by the tampon and thus will not absorb as much?

It's not like your useing a whole gob of lube. Just a little to help you out. So no, a little bit of lube doesn't effect the absorbancy.
