I'm surprised you hadn't read that one already - I like it. That and Diamond Age are the Neal Stephenson books I enjoyed. Necronomicon had a few good moments but I found it a real slog otherwise - and it's very, very long.

Anathem was totally cool.

It moved slowly but quickly, if that makes any sense whatsoever.

(That may be one of those ones where you have to be the right flavor of geek to really like it. I really liked it.)
