I was right. My co-worker was definitely bitten by a zombie. A little while ago I heard rustling from the back room and then there were loud moans and pounding on the door. At about that same time I started to hear pounding on the main door of the lab too. At first I thought it was people running in here for safety (I don't have any windows in this room), but then when I got close to it, I heard the same moaning that I heard from the back room. I moved as much furniture up against the doors as I could, but most of the stuff we have in the Lab is either bolted down, too light to be affective, or too heavy for me to move.

I ran into the utility/server closet and luckily I got one of the loaner laptops to work (we've been having problems with the laptops here*). It seems as though the school's network is still up, but it's a little spotty in here. At least I have light and it's warmer in here than in the lab.

Oh god, the moaning is getting louder. I think they broke through the door. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it. lordaerith, I hope you show up soon. I love you.


* This is actually true. Four out of our six laptops are currently broken.

*grins* If you haven't already, go read through some of the stuff on zombienet. It was written a while ago, around the time that Dawn of the Dead the remake came out, all around the idea of what would happen to us if the world were attacked by zombies.

Some of its pretty good. Other parts are pretty silly. But it was an enjoyable experience while it lasted.
