For some reason I'm having a really hard time getting into this semesters work.

I really enjoy my classes. I'm taking Electronic and Digital Records Management, where our main project is going to be coming up with a plan for our own records, Digital Libraries, where our class project is going to be working with the Gone with the Wind Collection on campus, and Understand and Serving Users, which is a required class. These classes all involve lots of work...and for some reason I have almost no motivation to get it done right now, which is really bad as it's just the beginning of the semester. I think that a large part of it has to do with the fact that when I was all pumped up to start, everything was canceled and so that momentum that I built up for myself sort of died a bit.

Well, I did finish Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? this weekend. Made me dislike Blade Runner even more. Oh well.

*sigh* I guess I should do more reading for Users and then plot my points using VKB since it's due by Tuesday at noon and I have 8 hours of work and 1 class between now and then.

what did you not like about Blade Runner , specificly? I've read blade runner the novel not Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and seen both versions of the movie, though it's been ages since I've seen them so i'm sure i've forgotten specific things.

For me, I look at Do Androids like a completely different story. Loved reading it, there were so many elements that I am not sure would have translated well on the big screen. I love Bladerunner, though. Mostly for Rutger Hauer.

The perils of most of Dicks work (insert Bevis laugh here)
He writes really interesting things that are fun to read, but only work on film if you're stoned out of your gourd or if you ignore 97.382% of the original work and make it pretty.

And damn but Blade Runner was pretty ;)
