here we go!

Gave my slightly-under-two month notice at work today. My last day will be Aug. 11 (but I'm taking Aug 10 and 11 as half-days). Got this really sad/dissapointed look from the head of HR. Started telling a few more people about the move. People seem shocked that I'm leaving, but happy for me that I'm moving on. I'm sure the news will spread quickly. There really is no going back now.

Still working on finding a place to live in Austin. We're looking to moving companies. Have to figure out if we're going to bring the cats on the drive down or go with a pet moving service. Etc, etc, etc. But it'll all get done.
