once again, a list

to do today:

• pack the rest of the clothes
  
• pack the rest of the kitchen stuff, except food and dishes for tonight/tomorrow morning
  
• pack hall closet - 70% done.
  
• pack bathrooms, except for things for cleaning things and things that are needed on an everyday basis
  
• clean up all the packing peanuts that have gotten everywhere
  
• get everything from the storage area
  
• empty all closets - 2 fully empty, 1 has clothing needed for the next few days and some hang dry, and 1 more to go.
  
• pack up anything else
  
• close on house (2pm)
  
• celebrate closing on house
  
• fall down exausted
  

first a condo, next the world :)

We did it. We really did it. We own the place. We have the keys and everything!

The closing went pretty smoothly :)

We checked the place out. It's gorgeous. But it needed curtains for the windows. So we ran down to Home Depot and got curtain rods and then ran to the mall and got an AC unit for the bedroom and curtains for the bathrooms. Of course the ones we got are too large, but that's ok. We can go back and exchange them. Even got a few boxes moved in already.

So dead tired and there is so much left to do. But I am happy :)

I'll miss this place though. It was my first "grown-up" home after college and I have a lot of nice memories attached to it (and some not so good memories). I can't fathom that the new place is OURS yet. Maybe in a day or two when we are all moved in and I wake up there every morning. But where I am now really feels like home.

I can't tell if most of the packing is done or if there's a lot left to do. *sigh* guess I'll find out tomorrow. (BTW, if you're coming to help move, show up around 11am or as soon after that as you can)

Well, that's it. This is probably the very last post I will ever make from this apartment. Good-bye apartment. I'll miss you. But I think it's time for me to move on.
