Last Unicorn

Last night Safire and 3G came over and all 4 of us watched The Last Unicorn. I hadn't seen it since I was 7. It really wasn't very good. I'm glad I've seen it again though so now I know.

After the 2 left, Aerith and I got into a (somewhat heated) discussion of semantics. I think that we got to a really important realization about what him:"let's go to bed now", me:"yeah, ok" means to both of us. I think that this should solve a lot of disappointment and getting upset with each other that happens at night. :)

Really? It was that bad? I just remember it from when I was a kid and the Molesting tree. I loved the title song though. I remember trying to tape it off the tv. I think Loreena McKennit actually's done a remake of it.

it was like watching a bad D&D adventure with a typical hero (who just becomes a hero w/out any plot development) and a nice little jewish magician with a big nose.

we had fun making fun of it :)

i'd never seen it before, and somehow I thought I was missing out. Perhaps it was better as a little kid...

wrong!

OMG! That is still one of my favorite movies, and I love it and think it is absolutely wonderful - as much so now as I did at 5 years old! Sigh.
Of course, you are entitled to your opinion :P

I'm with you. I read the book, which was sooooo wonderful and then the movie was just . . . disappointing, although I will give the animators kudos for the scene when Molly Grue sees the unicorn and has a fit. That was wonderfully done. I think I would have liked the movie a whole lot more if the soundtrack hadn't gotten on my nerves quite so much.
