Playing with hair chopsticks

Today at work my co-worker Jean showed me how to properly use my hair chopsticks.

The first time

Then we took it down so she could show someone else how to do it. So, this is how it looked for most of the day

I think I even got the hang of the motion, but I'm going to have to practice more.

I think I overheard this... and you talking about having a short course for Chinese hair sticks? I'd go to that; my fine hair doesn't like to behave in those.

And your hair looks fab.

Can you tell I got up at 4:45 this morning?

"and you talking about..."

Ahem, that is, "and you *were* talking about..."

I have fine hair (barrettes have been known to slip out), and I've found the ones that http://craftycelts.com/hair/lightpins.html

sell work, because they're not smooth. The ridges help catch the hair.

Actually as long as the stick is somewhat rougher, it works alright. It also works better when you're hair is dirtier...which is when I'm more likely to put mine up out of the way anyhow.

having curley hair also helps.

Trying to practice on Jean was really tricky because she's from China and has very fine straight hair.
