More expensive, stuffier, canned, and has an owner who has completely alienated a good portion of the faire performers I know. Personally, I'd rather go to a new faire that's fresh, isn't going to make me feel like a patron at Disneyland, and won't cost an arm and a leg to get in. Plus, Middlefaire has great entertainment, like The Bedlam Bards and The Brobdingnagian Bards. Finally, as the owner of a small business, I would rather support a small startup faire than a large corporate one.
